Using the philosophy of “life through movement”, a biokineticist is an allied health professional and exercise specialist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and the Biokinetics Association of South Africa. A biokineticist prescribes scientific-based physical activity programmes to promote overall health and quality of life, maintain physical abilities and carry out final-phase physical rehabilitation.

When should I see a biokineticist?2024-07-30T09:30:32+00:00

People of all ages and walks of life, special population groups and athletes can all benefit from biokinetics sessions, which are fully customised to your individual needs and goals. Read more about what we offer here.

What can I generally expect from my first consultation?2024-07-30T09:31:20+00:00

The initial consultation lasts 45min. We will start by delving into your medical history, including your current and past information. Depending on your needs and goals, we will then carry out special tests and evaluations. Based on this, we will sit down with you to discuss a way forward and a plan of action.

How much do biokinetics sessions cost and are they covered by medical aid?2024-07-30T09:33:22+00:00

While we do not claim directly from medical aid, our rates are in line with medical aid rates and you can claim back the cost of your sessions directly from your medical aid. We also have special packages available. These are however not claimable from medical aid. Contact us via email or WhatsApp for rates.
